At Green Wish, we support alternative and clean energy solutions, so we wanted to help spread the word about this week’s US Department of Energy Solar Decathlon. Happening locally in Orange County, the Solar Decathlon is an award-winning competition going on right now through Oct. 13. It is a FREE public event that showcases the work of collegiate teams who designed, built, and operate solar-powered houses that are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and attractive.
At this event, you’ll be able to tour the competition’s homes, as well as explore the XPO, which is a clean, renewable, and efficient energy exposition hosted alongside the Decathlon. Through fun, interactive exhibits and activities, the XPO provides visitors with information about the broad spectrum of energy efficiency in home design, transportation, consumer products, food production, and education.
