|Friends of Los Angeles River
Friends of the Los Angeles River is a nonprofit organization founded in 1986. FOLAR works to protect and restore the natural and historic heritage of the Los Angeles River and its riparian habitat through inclusive planning, education and wise stewardship.
Food Forward’s mission is to connect people with people by bringing together volunteers and neighbors to share in the gleaning and distributing of locally grown food from private homes and public spaces. The food is then distributed to local food pantries and organizations, serving those in need.
