sbargeJCricketA message from our founder, Raphael Sbarge, with an update on Green Wish progress:

So much to report!

  • We’re expanding to cities around the nation, planting Green Wish Chapters in four new cities in the coming months, with more on the way. Our Kansas City Green Wish Chapter opens later this week, and will be launching with a special event on Thursday 2/27!
  • We have successfully completed our EEK-O-Halloween program in Los Angeles, with checks out to our local nonprofits! Now we’re working with participating schools to bring our local nonprofits into our schools, as part of Earth Day celebrations in April to show students first-hand the important work being done in the community. We’re very grateful for the very generous legacy grant donated to Green Wish by the California Institute for Contemporary Art to make this possible.
  • We have also completed shooting and are currently in post-production on a short film about the Science of Climate Change. The piece was shot in the classrooms and science labs of the world-famous California Institute of Technology in Pasadena (Cal-Tech) with our board member (and Cal-Tech climatologist) Jess Adkins. This film will be delivered to schools in time for Earth Day, and will educate and inform about the scientific facts of climate change. We are very pleased and excited about the participation and support of Cal Tech, in pursuit of our mutual educational goals. Very exciting, indeed!

For all you do, for caring about making the world a better, greener place, we thank you!
